Diane Ursu joined Suite101 as a contributing writer in August 2009 and became a Feature Writer in January 2010. She is a freelance writer and an outdoor enthusiast.

She worked as a sonographer for five years with a specialization in obstetric and gynecological ultrasound for one year. She has experience with general ultrasound and related surgical procedures. She has always been fascinated by the human body and how it works.

Diane began mountain biking in 2006 and began volunteering as a trail worker in 2007. She furthered her mountain biking advocacy efforts by becoming a State Board Member At-Large for the Michigan Mountain Biking Association in February 2009. She is passionate about maintaining access to public lands and educating trail users in trail etiquette and sustainability. In January 2010, Diane became the Communications Coordinator for the MMBA.

Diane is proficient in web design and showcases her efforts at Moronacity.com, a mutli-channel web site featuring cycling, Catholicism, health, and equestrian interests. Most of the photography on Moronacity is Diane's work and she plans to further her endeavors in photography. Recent Moronacity articles include:

Diane acquired her Associates degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography in 2004. She left her ultrasound job to further her education in the biological sciences and to become a full-time writer.
